In proud partnership with Girton Parish Council, we are delighted to welcome you to this valued community facility.
We offer both pay-as-you-go public swim sessions and private pool hire options.

What to Expect
Public Swimming – Open to Everyone
- No advance booking required.
- Card payments only – we are a cashless site.
- Maximum capacity: 20 swimmers per session
- Adults £3.50 per session.
- Children £2.50 per session.
Private Pool Hire – Exclusive Use
- Book 45-minute sessions for private swimming.
- Ideal for birthday parties, club training, group activities or for private use with friends and family.
- Hire Fee: £70 per 45-minute session
- Capacity: Maximum of 20 swimmers per session
Changing Facilities
- We encourage all visitors to arrive ‘Swim Ready’ due to limited changing availability.
- Changing rooms and toilets are located off-site at the Girton Recreation Centre, provided and maintained by the Parish Council.
- These facilities are shared public spaces and may be in use by users of the Girton Recreation facilities at the same time.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult when using the changing areas.
- Do not leave personal belongings in the facilities or unattended. Items brought to the poolside are at your own discretion.
- ELA Active is not responsible for the changing facilities or any lost/damaged items.
Pool Safety & Supervision Rules
- Children under 8 must be accompanied in the water by an adult (18+) – Maximum 2 children per adult (2:1 ratio).
- Non-swimmers and weak swimmers must be closely supervised in the water – 1:1 ratio with an adult (18+).
Public Session Capacity Management
When sessions are full, a colour band system will be introduced to manage numbers fairly.
In this case:
- Swim time will be limited to 45 minutes.
- A lifeguard will blow a whistle and call out your band colour when it’s time to leave the pool.
- You will be expected to exit the pool promptly to allow the next group in.
- This system helps ensure everyone gets a safe and enjoyable swim.
General Pool Safety
For the safety and enjoyment of all users, all customers are expected to follow the pool rules displayed on site. These guidelines are in place to ensure a safe, respectful, and hygienic environment for everyone. Failure to follow the rules or the instructions of staff may result in removal from the facility without a refund.
